1) Captain America
There is something about his 40s mentality and old fashioned way of thinking that just makes the character fun for me. The simple yet elegant stars and stripes outfit tell the story of how much he loves his country and how he will stop at nothing to make sure that his country stays free for all, no matter what race, religion, or color.
2) Batman
Now before you role your eyes and skip this one read a little bit why I love this character. It's more about Batman's villains why I love reading this character. If you look deep enough, almost all of Batman's most formidable foes are a reflection of his mind. Two-Face is the constant battle Bruce Wayne has with himself trying to determine if he is really Bruce Wayne putting a mask on at night or Batman hanging up his cape to be a billionaire playboy during the day. The Penguin is what Bruce would have become if his wealth and power had corrupted him. Clayface is the representation of the many faces that Bruce puts on as a detective to solve his cases. The Riddler is the representation of the constant riddle of whether or not what he does as Batman truly has an affect on Gotham and is it doing anything. The Joker is of course the representation of what he would become is he finally broke and decided to kill those he hunts.
3) Thanos

There is a lot more to Thanos than just the Mad Titan who obsesses over the awesome power of the Infinity Gauntlet. Thanos has an obsession with embodiment of Death, Mistress Death. Thanos was resurrected by his love a few years after he fell at the hands of Adam Warlock to perform a mission: Destroy half of the universes' sentient life. With no hesitation he accepted his mission. In the events of Thanos Quest, Silver Surfer, and the epic 6-issue story The Infinity Gauntlet you learn a lot about how Thanos truly feels about Mistress Death and his strategic genius.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I loved making it :)
